And not once during this playthrough did I start to feel bored. I got close to fifty hours out of this game, and a lot of 16 bit RPGs don’t even take that much time. What impresses me the most about Dragon Quest III is just how massive and expansive it is when compared to other games of the time period. I would not go as far as to say it’s the best game in the series, as I do think that both Dragon Quest IV and V are superior games, but it ranks in third place of the six Dragon Quest games I’ve played (those being 1-6).
